Description
Chevron Striped Glass Beads are about 10 to 15 mm (3/8 to 9/16) inch long and sold in 2 ounce assortments of approximately 30 to 40+ pieces. These beads are competitively priced by weight for use in mosaic art, but they are elaborately worked, and the hand-made variance makes each piece unique.
Product Coverage
This is a problematic question because beads was intended to be used as an accent instead of as area coverage, and the piece size can vary. One 2-ounce assortment covers roughly 1 to 2 square inches.
Compatibility
The thickness varies by piece, but is mostly 3/8 to 1/2 inch, which is thicker than mosaic of the glass mosaic tile we sell.
Cutting Chevron Striped Glass Beads
Chevron Striped beads can be cut using a Mosaic Glass Cutter, but lampwork beads made by fusing and stretching strips of glass will often break along the layers and not as predictably as homogeneous glass tile does. Still, it can be done.
